Indigenous Evaluation Framework: Swimming Turtle

This example of an Indigenous evaluation framework depicts a turtle swimming within a circle. The water represents the context in which the evaluation takes place. Starting in the center and working outward, the interacting phases of the evaluation form a circular pattern. This evaluation is inclusive and culturally responsive. Phases of the evaluation in the center are interrelated—identifying community need, design, implementation, studying, and remaking.
